The City is Full of Noises: Modular Masterclass

Rick Holt from Frequency Central leads beginner modular synth sessions as part of The City is Full of Noises festival

Rick Holt leading a modular synth workshop at the Herbert in 2022, with a group of people of all different ages gathered round watching a woman experimenting with a modular synth

After their sell-out success at our pilot event in 2022, our beginner modular synth masterclasses return this year as part of our month-long electronic music festival, The City is Full of Noises

Led by Rick Holt from Frequency Central, these hands-on sessions offer an opportunity to experiment and learn for would-be modular musicians and those "synth-trested" alike. Come along from 10am - 12pm or from 2pm - 4pm to have a go with a number of musical groove boxes designed and built specially for this event.

Places are limited to 12 people per session. To reserve a spot, please email cfon@cvlife.co.uk with your name and preferred time slot and we will do our best to accommodate. Spaces are available on a first come, first served basis, so don’t delay in getting in contact!

Running throughout March 2023, The City is Full of Noises is a month-long celebration of electronic music, inspired by Coventry-born pioneer Delia Derbyshire. The festival culminates in a weekend of workshops, networking and concert performances on 25 and 26 March.
