Remembering the Blitz

We are sharing some simple and stunning craft activities for the 80th anniversary of the Blitz, you can join in to keep your children entertained in a creative way. The ideas will always aim to use items you are likely to have at home, and where possible using resources from your recycling bin.

  • Glue the green stems to the large paper
  • Cut the apple in half to make a poppy-like shape (under adult supervision)
  • Dip one half of the apple into the paint and print along the tops of the green stems
  • Let dry and enjoy looking at your beautiful row of poppies

  • Green paint (but vary this to work with whatever you have at home)
  • Small paint brush
