We hold objects excavated from sites in and around Coventry, dating from the Bronze Age to the post-medieval period.

This small but significant collection is particularly rich in dress accessories.

Coventry enjoyed a 'golden age' in the medieval period, which is reflected in our extensive collections.

There are around 150 Anglo Saxon objects, most of which were excavated from a cemetery at Baginton.

The Roman material relates mainly to the Lunt fort, established around 60 AD.

The collection comprises around 300 objects ranging from the Palaeolithic, Mesolithic and Neolithic through to the Bronze and Iron Ages.
