George Eliot: We have an extensive array of her novels, biographies, and critiques together with a collection of some of her letters, cuttings of articles she wrote for the Coventry Herald, illustrations and drawings relating to her. Her books and novels can be consulted in the Reading Room, and letters, news cuttings and illustrations in the Research Room.
Angela Brazil: children’s author. An extensive range of her published works as well as pamphlets about her.
Early children’s books: these are available on request in the Research Room, and mostly date from the mid-nineteenth century.
Automobile and Cycling Collections – An extensive array of books and journals on these two key Coventry industries from the very earliest days. Includes past volumes of periodicals such as Autocar, the Motor, and Cycling as well as now rare cycling periodicals such as the Hub.
If you have a classic car or are restoring one, our collection of Coventry registration ledgers, Coventry cancelled vehicle registration cards, and numerous Coventry based factory production records may be the resource for you. If we have a match for your vehicle, then we can offer you a heritage certificate of authenticity.
Manuals and service guides to cars are now all located in the technical library held at Coventry Transport Museum and are available by appointment only.
