Borrowing & Lending Items (Loans)

Culture Coventry Trust is responsible for managing loans on behalf of Coventry City Council as part of a management agreement.

We hold collections in trust for the public and aim to make them available (loans out) to the widest possible audience whilst maintaining high standards of care to ensure their long-term survival and integrity.

Loans Moratorium:

CV Life (Culture Coventry Trust) is currently preparing to move its collections stored o site to a new collections facility, scheduled to open in the centre of Coventry in 2026, to facilitate greater access to collections. The collections move will severely restrict Culture Coventry Trust’s ability to process incoming and outgoing loans and the Trust will be unable to accept new loan requests during this time, this will not a ect loans already agreed or current long term loans. The temporary pause in loan activity will last until December 2026 when loan requests will be open again, with the earliest loan taking place from May 2027.

You can find information on loans in CCT’s Loans Policy, which can be found on our website, in the Collections section below.
