Coventry Theatre display on display

Recently acquired by the Herbert is this display stand advertising Coventry Theatre.

It was displayed in the shop window of J Brotherhood & Sons, a butchers in Barlestone, Leicestershire, hence the text referring to 'Fresh Meat Daily'!

  

Leaflets from Coventry Theatre were placed in the stand to advertise upcoming productions and in return the butcher got free tickets. It dates from between 1955 to 1979, and is most likely to be from the 1950s or 60s. The glass bowl fixed to the top is an ashtray.
