Coventry Haven - Schools Art Competition and Celebration

We invite pupils to create artworks that showcase their representations, feelings and experiences themed around the following positive words - ‘Faith’, ‘Hope’, ‘Love’, ‘Peace’ and ‘Joy’.
Coventry Haven Women's Aid was first established in 1972, which means that next year is our 50th anniversary! As a celebration of our history, achievements and the services we have provided women and children in Coventry across those 50 years, we are calling out for schools in Coventry to submit artworks created by pupils for a competition of creativity, with the winning pieces from each age category being displayed in an exhibition at the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum in May 2022.
We invite pupils to create artworks that showcase their representations, feelings and experiences themed around the following positive words - ‘Faith’, ‘Hope’, ‘Love’, ‘Peace’ and ‘Joy’. These words are inspiring and something that we aim to foster for all of the women and children we support.
The art competition will be divided into different age categories:
From each category we will select a winner, along with two runners up, whose work will be displayed in an exhibition at the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum from 17th – 26th June 2022.
We will also create a digital display of all entries, for all pupils who take part to have their work viewed on the Coventry Haven website and Coventry Museums school websites.
Prizes will be awarded to all winning entries, with a celebration event taking place for all winners and runners-up during the week of the exhibition at the Herbert on 17th June, 1.30pm – 3.00pm.
