Animals and plants that lived millions of years ago can affect our lives today

Coinciding with 'Dippy on Tour' and Dippy's visit to the West Midlands, we have created a special new display about Coventry's Natural History in our What's in Store.
The display covers the life of fossils, from their creation to their uses as fuel.

The display also features the impact of the declining coal mining industry in the 20th century.
Come and see the special objects, from fossils of animals and plants; coal and collieries and pictures of the people that mined in them, all amongst the backdrop of our fabulous Natural History collection.

Also don't forget to visit the Elements exhibition
Explore nature through touch, sound and sight. See an ichthyosaur skull, feel the curves of a seashell and listen to birdsong in this multi-sensory gallery.

The new display is available to visit during the Summer
