Located in the heart of Coventry city centre, next to the historic Cathedral, the Herbert is the perfect place to learn more about the history of Coventry and immerse yourself in some art and culture.

Gallery & Museum

The opening times for the Gallery & Museum (including bank holidays) are:

Monday - Saturday: 10.00am - 4.00pm
Sunday: 12.00pm - 4.00pm

(Closed: 24, 25 & 26 December and 1 January)

Please Note: For everyone’s comfort and safety, we may carry out bag checks upon entry
 

Coventry Archives:

The opening times for Coventry Archives (not including bank holidays) are:

Wednesday - Friday: 10.30am - 3.30pm (Reading Room & Research Room)
Alternate Saturdays*: 10.30am - 3.30pm

*June: 3rd & 17th   |   July: 1st & 15th   |   August: 12th & 26th   |   September: 9th & 23rd
October: 7th & 21st   |   November: 4th & 18th   |   December: 2nd & 16th

 

Alfred's Café

The opening times for Alfred's Café are:

Monday - Saturday: 10.00am - 4.00pm (last orders 3.30pm)

Sunday: 12.00pm - 4.00pm (last orders 3.30pm)

 

Herbert Shop

The opening times for the Herbert shop are:

Monday - Saturday: 10.00am - 4.00pm

Sunday: 12.00pm - 4.00pm

 

Tourist Information Centre
(no longer based at the Herbert)

Monday – Friday: 10am – 5pm

Saturday: 10am – 5.30pm

Sunday: 11am – 4pm
