What's On

Herbert Lates: Punjab Party

Herbert Lates returns for an evening of music, dance, light and colour based on the Crafts of the Punjab exhibition. Witness Gsian bring to life a giant mural inside the museum as Eternal Taal, the UK's only all-female Dhol troupe perform - you can even learn a few moves and join in as their DJ keeps the music flowing all evening.

Museum curator and cultural consultant Rajwinder Pal will deliver a short performance piece bringing to life the history and influence of the golden throne of Maharaja Ranjit Singh,  whilst this month’s artist Saj Fareed invites you to explore patterns and make your own colourful ‘stained glass window’.

Also taking place as part of the evening is Decolonising Culture: In Conversations With… A discussion led by a panel of speakers around "What does decolonising culture mean?".  Tickets must be booked separately for this discussion.
